Women, youth and marginalized groups Empowerment for Peacebuilding in Syria Program 2019:

In 2019, SAI implemented a new program aimed at supporting civic education and promoting the participation of youth, women, and marginalised groups in decision-making processes, including those related to reconciliation, peacebuilding, and stabilisation efforts. Also, the program aims to increase the participation of Syrian women, youth and marginalised groups’ emergent leaders in public and political life as positive change agents and promoters of a multi-ethnic, multi-religious society that respects the rights of all people. Additionally, the targets were divided into age groups, specifically young adults and youth. The program targeted eight communities across northern Syria.
